Allahumma barik lana fi Rajab wa Sha’ban wa ballighna Ramadan

“Oh, Allah! Grant us Barakah (blessing) during (the months of) Rajab and Sha’ban, and allow us to reach Ramadan”

Ramadan, the month of fasting and prayer will be arriving in exactly 2 months, in sha Allah. It is the month that provides an opportunity for forgiveness from Allah and emancipation from our sins. It is the month for performing good deeds and giving in charity. It is the month when the gates of the heavens are opened and the rewards for our deeds are magnified many times over. It is the month wherein prayers are answered, and the status of the worshipper is elevated. It is the month wherein sins are forgiven.

Community Outreach Projects has once again embarked on the initiative to collect food items for 200 needy families so they can also have something for Sehri and Iftar. We are hereby humbly appealing to the community to assist us in reaching our goal. Our niyah is pack the parcels on Saturday 22 February, in sha Allah. Besides the normal food items, we are also appealing for donations of dates, daltjie mix, boeber mix and muffin mix.

The cost of one parcel is R570 and we require R105 500 to reach our target. If anyone knows of any corporates that would like to come on board for this project, please contact me directly.
